The Nigerian rapers Muna And Modenine publicly made peace with themselves the way they publicly disagreed. On May 30, 2012 at the weekly Industry Nite gig, Munachi Abii during her performances called veteran rapper Modenine on stage to settle any scores between them.
The rapper gladly stepped on stage and hugged Muna before going on to freestyle over Notorious B.I.G’s ‘‘Juicy’’.
You can recall what happened during ‘‘Nokia Don’t Break the Beat’’ rap competition which took place at the GET Arena on Saturday, April 28. Muna, who hosted the event thought she should also judge along side with Modenine, DJ Jimmy JATT and Knighthouse record label boss Rogba Arimoro. ‘‘I don’t agree with you but, my opinion matters too, you know’’, Muna told Modenine. Out of anger Modenine publicly told Muna, “I’ve been listening to hip-hop for a long time, trust me, you have to respect my opinion”. Then Muna rudely replied, ‘‘I’ve also been listening to Hip-Hop for a long time, I respect your decision but my opinion matters, please pass the mic men’’.
Wow! It is a nice idea for Muna to make amends on almost the same scenario where she got it wrong. Click to watch a video of the reconciliation.
